Weather resistant RTK rover with ZED-F9P*, OBS421i-24* and BGX13P* as ruggedized mobile device (7 Ah LiPo battery powered, redundant battery cells with extra protection circuitry)
Classic Bluetooth module cB-OBS421i-24 ("… 11 dBm output power, 250 m range, 1.3 Mbps throughput, advanced multipoint capability with 7 slaves …") is providing the always usual Serial Port Profile (SPP) and can be used by all kind of client systems except iOS.
The BGX13P module (internally connected to the second serial port of the ZED-F9P) is providing a Bluetooth 5 LE compliant SPP replacement, thus able to communicate with mobile devices (especially iPhones or iPads) through the Xpress Bluetooth mobile library. A compatible iOS app for RTK measurements (with VRS via Ntrip) will be available free of charge from Q1/2019. For developers of other iOS apps, this interface is freely accessible, just by integrating the BGXpress Framework*
BGX firmware can always be updated very easy by using BGXCommander* (iPad Screenshot)
